A pictograph more appropriate than a bar graph when the data is easier to understand because pictographs are more complicated to show the data in pictures but when the data is easy and collected the pictures will help to see it in a different way.
A bar graph more appropriate than a pictograph when the data is more complicated because a bar graph give you the information right away and is already calculated for you when a pictograph you need to know what each picture represents and calculate your results for each one. This makes it even harder for you if you were to make a pictograph for complicated data.

A1: a pictograph is more appropriate the a bar graph when your showing the graph to younger kids, in my opinion. I think it is more appropriate for younger kids instead of a bar graph because when showing graphs to younger kids it may be hard for them to understand all the numbers, where on a pictograph there is pictures for them to get a better understanding.

A2: A bar graph is more appropriate to use then a pictograph when you are presenting your data and you want to show the exact numbers. Another time that a bar graph is appropriate is when you need to place coordinates and ask or answer questions.

A pictograph is more appropriate than a bar graph when you need to show data because, if you surveyed your classmates you can count by 5's or 10's and it's a lot easier to use a pictograph. Remember to ask an unbiased question because you don't want your classmates to pick what you want them to pick, you want them to pick what they want to pick!
A bar graph is more appropriate when you need to find the data and you need too calculate all of the data your self (primary data). I t is a lot harder to do a bar graph because YOU NEED TO FIND THE DATA YOURSELF,Instead of you just looking at the internet or looking on a encyclopedia.

a Pictograph can be more important then a bar graph when you are trying to show your survey or figure out a question in a more simply way. When using a pictograph you can easily see what the numbers in your questions mean and what they are, other then a more complicated bar graph with less of a visual representation.
A bar graph can be more important then a pictograph when you are trying to answer or create a question with more difficulty. When answering a question, using a pictograph is a easier way, but it isn't really using a higher level of thinking. But a bar graph can be seen as more difficult and you are using a higher level of thinking and expanding your learning to something more challenging
a pictograph is more appropriate when you are showing data that has been given to you also known as secondary data i also thinks its an easier what to try and figure out the mean median and mode because you can easily see the data and can easily see the most and least popular items.
a bar graph is more appropriate when using your own data (primary data) because its an easier way to show your data rather than using a pictograph , with a bar graph you can easily see your data and create questions , i think bar graphs are a more organized way to show your data are better for primary data.
Q1- When is a pictograph more appropriate than a bar graph?
A1- Its more appropriate to use a pictograph than a bar graph, when, in my opinion trying to show data to younger children. Because, representing data to children can be difficult at times, but if it's a pictograph, the pictures and symbols used, are easy to understand. So younger kids would be able to understand the information shown a lot easier. The pictograph is just an easier way to display, confusing data.
Q2-When is a bar graph more appropriate than a pictograph?
A2- A bar graph is more appropriate than a pictograph, when you are representing a lot of data, and need to visually see it easier. Because, with the bars in a bar graph, you are able to the see increasing and decreasing data. Plus, the bars help you to be able to see the differences in each option/ choice. For example, this would be convenient when looking at the different number of sales of t-shirts, in a store. You could easily see which t-shirt is the most popular, or least popular. And you would also easily be able to find the differences between sales.

When is a pictograph more appropriate than a bar graph?
When is a bar graph more appropriate than a pictograph?
Give examples.
a:1 a pictograph is more important than a bar graph when you are doing surveys or if you need approximate imformation
examples: if your class is doing surveys and lets say your question is what is your favourite hockey team? (they would all choose toronto but whatever) you could give tm a few options then have an other option

next you put it into pictures or a pictograph so it is esier for little kids to understand.
a2: a bar graph is more important than a picto graph when you need to see t6he differences between types of data like if you were looking at a bar graph you could easily tell the differences of which toy at a store is the most popular

q1: When is a pictograph more appropriate than a bar graph?
A pictograph is more appropriate than a bar graph when you need to show someone visually and if they are younger and you need to show them data , using a pictograph is a good way to show and represent data visually. Also when you have smaller numbers its easier to use and be efficient.
q2: When is a bar graph more appropriate than a pictograph?
A bar graph is more appropriate than a pictograph when you have a bigger numbers and have a higher range of numbers. Its easier to show data on a bar graph when the numbers are a lot higher and when you need to show data in an easy way , and a less visual way but you want to really show the difference between the numbers and data.

Using a pictograph can be better than using a bar graph when the audience isn't capable enough to be able to read a bar graph (younger children). It's better when the symbols are capable of representing basic numbers such as 1,2,5,10... because they're easy to add. Although if you use numbers such as 3,7,9... it's harder to add together making it difficult to find the result and its much easier for smaller numbers
Using bar graphs is better than using pictographs when you're audience is at a more intelligent/capable age. Bar graphs are better when you have a higher number and its easier to sell products with it because you can make it look a bit biased if you start at a higher number and make competitors look worse than they really are.
Personally I prefer bar graphs because they take less time to make because they don't require a legend or pictures.

A pictograph is more appropriate than a bar graph when you are showing the data to younger children because it is easier to show and explain it to them when it has pictures. Its just like how when you're younger and picture books are easier, pictographs would be easier. Also i find that pictographs are better when you have to show more data.
A bar graph is more appropriate than a pictograph when you are showing the data to older and more experienced people. I find that bar graphs are a little easier to compare data and they look more organized than pictographs. Also bar graphs are better to use when trying to persuade people because you can switch up the numbers and make yourself look better than others.
