Yesterday was the Superbowl and as many watched the game to see the Broncos play the Seahawks, most people watched the game for the commercials. Here are a few top rated commercials from last night. After watching them, answer the following questions:
1. What did you think of each of the commericals? 2. Why do you think it was rated as a top commercial? 3. What persuasive strategies were used in each commercial? 4. What was your favourite commercial of the Super Bowl? Why? (It can be any commercial from yesterday's Super Bowl, not just the few posted here). We will begin a new weekly project in our classroom entitled "Genius Hour". It is where each student will have the opportunity to learn about something they are interested in. Watch the video below of a group of Grade 7 students who reflected on their experiences with Genius Hour. After watching the video, what do you think about this new project? Are there any topics that you would be interested in learning about? We will discuss this in class over the next couple of days! I hope you're just as excited as the students in the video!
