Here are a few videos on Adding fractions with unlike denominators and adding mixed numbers. Please view the videos and comment on what you have learned.
I think that it's way easier to add the two whole numbers first and then you add your fractions together so you don't get confused.

In the first video I learned what the LCD method is and how to use it, I do like this method but the method with the multiples that I use I still find it the easiest to use. The LCD method is very similar though.
In the second video, I did know this method before and I do this when I'm adding mixed numbers. I find this method is the easiest to find the sum of a mixed number. I knew you always started with the whole number then the fraction to get the proper answer.

in this first video we learned the LCD method , i found this way a little bit more difficult then the way i do it normally.
and in the second video we learned how to add mixed fractions , i already knew this method , and its the way i use when im doing my math work.

The first video I learned how to do the LCD method and how to use it. I like this method better instead of using diagrams because I find it way easier. I use a similar method.
In the second video I did know this method and I use it when I add mixed numbers.

In the first video, I learnt the LCD method. I already knew how to find common denominators to then add or subtract the fractions, but I thought this video explained it well, and “LCD” is a good way o remember it. But I also thought it was interesting the way he changed his numerator. Because after he found his common denominator and changed that, it was an interesting way he changed his numerator.
I had already learnt the method in the second video, but I thought this was a very good descriptive video to learn about adding mixed numbers, and explained it all well.

In this first video I found this LCD method a little harder then the regular way I usally do it.
In the second video I found it a little easy because we already learned something some what like this because we did this method and I am fine with finding the common denominator .

i learned that its way easier to add your whole numbers and then after you add the two fractions to its like the normal way.
and in the first video i learned the LCD method and it explains it easier although i already knew how to add and subtract by common denominators this video showed how to do it without getting confused and the the second video i learned how to add mixed numbers and understanding.

In the first video, I learnt the LCD method. I already knew how to find the common denominator, and add the fractions but i thought the LCD method was a cool way to remember it.
I had already learnt the method in the second video, but I thought this video was very good at explaining how to do everything.

Through out this whole unit i leand mostly about finding commen denominators and how much more easy it is to add up the fractions if u have a commen denominator. Earlier this year i would try to add up with out finding a commen denominator and it would be tough or impossible.
